The senses of the dog in his environment

Beyond his appreciation of individuals, whatever species they are, beyond his adaptation to the rules of life in his environment, his ability to apprehend the various elements around or likely to be around will help him to be the most comfortable.

What if instead of making a list of elements, we thought about it from his senses.

For examples :

A garbage truck

garbage truck

It stimulates :

  • sight : it's big, it moves, humans go up and down

  • sound : the sound of these trucks differs from others ; when trash is thrown into it, its impact makes a sound

  • smell: it's trash !

  • touch: normally, Doggy keeps off

A school

It stimulates :

  • sight : individuals of smaller sizes, sometimes being part of the same home, with bags on them, on their backs ; they are restless, jostle, are in groups

  • sound : sometimes they talk loudly

  • smell : their lunch, their snack, their personal smells according to their health and activities

  • touch : sometimes, some are likely to pet Doggy

A kitchen

kitchen

It stimulates :

  • sight : different materials, sizes, with specific functions, lights, reflections

  • sound : blender, microwave, refrigerator door, unpacking products, packing them, closing boxes, cupboards, opening them

  • smell : uh... It's the kitchen! Hihihi

  • touch : the floor can be different between the hallway and the kitchen or the adjacent room and the kitchen, the materials for the furniture

A car

It stimulates :

  • sight : from inside to outside, elements moving around, doors opening and closing

  • sound : engine, warning beeps, horn

  • smell: fabrics, residues (if you eat for example in your car or invite dirt in it), shopping or other

  • touch : the difference between the exterior floor and the interior floor, the texture of the fabric of the back seat

These examples show how a single object or location or individual can stimulate various senses in Doggy. By taking everyone into account, this will guide him in his cognitive understanding and emotional adaptation.
